Here I am, at the summer cabin. I spent few hours today, just walking in the forest with my camera, and took a lots of macro photos from nature. At least I tried.
I am still exploring a whole new world, where small things are bigger than they looks. Unfortunately, I did not found many insects so my macro shooting was limited to plants mostly. And that only ant that I found in forest was just moving too fast, so I did not get good photo.
Shooting in macro scale is much harder than you think at first. I found today, that depth of field is really something that you should think about when you take photos. Few nice photos were not perfect, just because DOF was only a small fraction of picture, i.e. only a small leaf of the flower. Well, I am still learning, and I learned today, how you don’t get good macro photos
Maybe next time I have learned something and came back from shooting trip with more successful photos.
One photo that I like and think as successful photo is just a small rock. But in photo, it looks quite big. So, small is sometimes big…
