Site redesign
As you might seen, I have a little site redesign under construction. This means a few changes in this site. The most visible change is now the new address of my blog. I moved this blog to its own sub-folder and its new address is http://www.mikian.com/blog. This change allows me to add different content to main page. Earlier my blog was my website but from now on this blog is just a one part of site. Although site doesn't have anything else yet, I promise that someday there will be. I try to add something in few weeks but I cannot promise anything.
For newsreader users, this redesign means that you might need to update feed address on your reader. I try to keep old feed address working but I cannot guarantee that.
Gaming
Car is going faster and faster. Eyesight becomes mistier. And at the last moment, I manage to get past of opponent and finish the first place.
Yeah, I am also a game console person now. Yesterday I finally got my Xbox360 console, which I had been waited for a week. And the game I have played was of course Need for Speed: Carbon (which came as bundle with console).
I haven't been so interested with games earlier when I only had a Windows PC. Maybe it was just because playing with Windows needs too much to start. You need to guess which graphics settings are just right to your computer so game would be smooth and nice to play and still look as good as possible. But now, with console, all you need to do is just select game and put disc in to tray and start playing. Finally playing is something it should have been always, actually relaxing moment.
Adobe Creative Suite
Today UPS courier delivered my latest purchase, Adobe Creative Suite Premium. Finally. Total delivery from ordering took 2,5 weeks, which was quite long time to wait. Well, few business days went to proof my student status to Adobe but after they accepted my student ID card, it take two weeks. Well, I guess that two weeks is not so bad delivery time but it was still a long time to wait. But finally I can really start to work with my photographs. Well, after I have studied Photoshop really well and some basics about photo editing.
So, why I decided to purchase Creative Suite? Well, the main reason was Photoshop, I needed a really good program for my photo editing and there is actually ay good choices for OS X. Yeah, there is GIMP but somehow I just don't like it in OS X, it is just not OS X style program. The second reason why purchase Photoshop was education prices, it was not so bad price anymore. And the difference between just Photoshop and the whole Creative Suite was quite little so I just got the whole package. It was still quite expensive for student budget but at least now with student price it was a smaller number then my income per month.
Cold
This has been a very interesting winter. First came a lots of snow at once, then became a very warm period when all the snow melted. And it feeled then more like spring than January. And now, in February we are having a really cold times, in this morning here was -30°C.
It was not a difficult decision to skip one lecture in university and working from home
