Metro

I just love metros in Seoul. It is just so easy and fast way to travel around city, definitely something that I want to Tampere also. I needed to learn how to use metros yesterday, so when I decided today just get my camera with me and go to somewhere else, it was not difficult at all anymore. Traveling with metro is so easy with T-Money; you just show T-Money to gates and they automatically reduces correct amount of money from there – no need to plan anything before hands, you just get to metro and take interesting sounding station where you leave. Easy and nice, specially for photographers who likes just wander around :)

So today I ended up to square which is right next to Gwanghwamun station. I think that there was a big Buddha statue, and whole place seemed to be art center, I think that there was some museums also. Definitely need to check place again later. But the square itself was so beautiful, in the borders of square was small “river”, something like 1cm water was flowing around area. It was so nice looking. And in the end of the square there was really beautiful watershow, in a way fountain but added with colorful lights.

And I definitely need to learn Korean language and soon. When I was leaving, in same block there was homeless cat and two small kids playing with it. The small boy looked so happy when he saw me taking photos of the cat and started to talk so much to – and even offered candy. And I just didn’t understand nothing :( Well, hopefully soon I’ll be able to talk at least a little bit…

  1. Thanks to you, I learnt how to get metro in Seoul :) The big statue in Gwanghwamoon street is one of ‘king Sejong’ who invented Korean lanuage! Maybe he will help you to learn Korean!

    • Haha :D
Ah, good to know what the place was about; and yeah, maybe, let’s hope the best at least :) (btw, Korean course is surprisingly fun although teacher speaks only Korean)
